Day 8 of Insanity Workout

Hi Luvs,

I officially made it through the first week of Insanity. It was rough and I definitely wanted to quit, but I made it. I take a lot of breaks during the workout, but I think I’ll be able to keep up with Shaun T’s pace by the end of month one. Anybody want to join me on the Insanity challenge? I think I need an accountability partner to check in with from time to time.

I am also in love with smoothies now. My new on-the-go blender is awesome. I add Greek yogurt to my smoothie so that I can get 25 grams of protein in each smoothie. I’ve also been trying to watch what I want, but I went to IHOP on Sunday and had pancakes. And of course I was tired for the rest of the day. I won’t make that mistake again.

Motivation for the week:

Day One of Insanity Workout

Hi Luvs,

Today was a long day at work, but I said I would start my 60 day Insanity challenge today, so I did. I took the fit test, which is the first day’s activity, so tomorrow is when the super hard work begins. If the fit test is any sample of what’s to come, I will be the fittest I’ve ever been by the time I’m done.

I’m off to make a healthy strawberry smoothie using a recipe that I found online. It looks really really good, so I’m excited about this one. I’m also pretty excited that I got a smoothie blender on sale at GNC over the weekend, so I’ll be using for the first time today.

Talk to you tomorrow,
Amanda

Making Progress

Hello workout luvs,

So, I’ve been working on my weight loss goals and I’m glad to say that I’m making progress. It’s time to take it to the next level. I bought Insanity. I am probably insane for doing so, but I’m going to start it on Monday evening and hang in there for the 60 day challenge. Hopefully, I will earn my Insanity shirt by the time I’m done. I’m going to post weekly and let you know how the challenge is going. I might even post some pictures along the way.
Well, I’m off to go and turn my basement into my workout zone. I’ll start the weekly updates on Monday.

See you Monday;
Amanda

Getting back on track

This week was a rough week. I had some horrible days at work and turned to my favorite friend, fast food. I had to work late pretty much everyday this week and I stopped at McDonalds one night, Popeyes another, and you know how it goes. I woke up this morning to go to my an blaster class and realized that I had overslept and the class already started. AND, I missed my fitness bootcamp this week too, because I had to work late. Boo!!

I have a weight loss goal and I’m not going to achieve it by missing my workouts and letting bad food be my friend on rough days. As it goes with most things, you have to do the work to get the results you want. I have 50lbs to lose and I have to re-focus.

I’m back on track as of today. But now I need your help. What do you do when you have a bad day and just feel like eating something crappy? Any and all advice would be appreciated.

Days Two and Three

So…time sure does fly when you’re trying to get organized and create a fitness plan that works for you. As you might remember, I went to my first fitness boot camp at Fab Body Factory on Thursday. I didn’t get to write a new blog entry yesterday, because all of my muscles were busy yelling at me. BUT, I still got up this morning and went to the an blaster class. the positive atmosphere at bootcamp helps keep you moving and a excited to come back.

After class today, I cheated a bit and had an egg mcmuffin at McDonalds, BUT I promise that I burned every calorie I took in. I was so pumped after the workout, that I came home and spent three hours raking leaves, mopping floors and organizing my house. I’m getting ready to take a nap so that I can be awake and supercharged for my plans tonight. So, I’ll be back on the grind tomorrow.

Question: what types of snacks do you eat as a low carb fun treat between meals?

Day One

Today was the first day of my weight loss journey. I’m starting at 205lbs and won’t stop until I reach 150lbs. I went to my first boot amp class, but I kinda cheated myself and used the modified version of a few exercises. I thought I was going to throw up towards the end clothe session, but I hung in there until the end. Team DIVA is on the rise.
